Diana G Farias, has been with this program since it’s inception in 2006 along side Elva And Keith Michael. The Pharr Literacy Project is a low cost educational institution for 18 and older Individuals willing to move forward to a better paying job, a chance to raise their family with a higher education that will only move them forward with a positive and a great self concept about themselves. She has been an instructor, a board member, an advisory board member and now the director since 2017. this project has gone through several phases and in 2013 It became known as The Pharr Literacy Project, Inc. (PLP) Dba Río Grande Valley Literacy Center (RGVLC) It is run by volunteers for volunteers. it is supported by our local Pct. in Hidalgo County and several cities to include Pharr, SanJuan Alamo Weslaco La Joya Mission Edinburg and McAllen.
